There are many places you can turn to if you need help looking for a job.

Of course, your first port of call will probably be the local Job Centre, which has loads of information and many of the latest jobs available.

But there are also local and independent job search services that can offer help and advice with no strings attached. We hope to be able to offer more information on these in the near future but for the moment you can contact Employment Plus, an independent employment resource set up by several housing associations including L&Q.

Although Employment Plus operates mainly in the Lewisham area, they will happily point you in the direction of other independent agencies in your area.

Alternatively, the local newspaper is a great place to look for jobs in your area. Most will carry a big job section on a specific day of the week.
