Bexley: L&Q aids drugs raid

L&Q’s South East neighbourhood’s Respect and Estate Action teams recently helped put a cannabis grower in New Eltham out of production.

Following a tip-off from a neighbour, one of our estate action officers inspected the resident’s back garden to confirm that cannabis was being grown. Then the police – working with L&Q - carried out a drugs raid on the property and cleared the plants. L&Q is now pursuing legal action against the tenant.

L&Q’s Respect Manager Eileen McCann said: “This raid went particularly smoothly thanks to the good relationships we’ve built up with local partners including the safer neighbourhood team.”
