Following a thorough examination of London & Quadrant Housing Trust by an experienced team of inspectors, the Audit Commission has concluded that we provide a good “two star” service that has excellent prospects for improvement.
No other housing association in London has been rated so highly, and there are only six other associations of nearly 100 assessed in England so far that have received the same rating or better.
In their inspection report the Audit Commission highlighted the following strengths in L&Q’s housing management service:
• homes in a good state of repair, estates generally clean and tidy
• wide consultation with residents
• large and varied programme of community development initiatives
• support for victims of anti-social behaviour
• large number of residents involved in governing the Trust
Don Wood, L&Q Group Chief Executive, said: “Our residents deserve the best possible service and that is what we strive to deliver to them. We are delighted with this result as it shows that the cornerstones are in place for us to achieve our aim to create places where people want to live.”
Hugh Boatswain, Audit Commission Senior Manager, said: “L&Q provides a customer-focused service to tenants through a new service, homes are well maintained and estates are clean and tidy. It is financially very stable and there is a value for money culture embedded.”
