L&Q announces new Group Chief Executive

David Montague new Group Chief Executive for the L&Q Group.

L&Q today announced that current Group Finance Director David Montague will become the new Group Chief Executive in early 2008.

David has been with L&Q since 1988 and became Group Director of Finance in 2000. He has played a key role in appraising L&Q’s many development opportunities, with responsibilities including corporate and business planning, financial strategy, treasury management, project approval, internal audit and risk management.

The L&Q Group has a substantial and diverse development programme, and David has played a key role in L&Q’s merger and acquisition activity, including the recent mergers between L&Q and the Nucleus Group, Beaver Housing Society and Threshold Homes.

Turlogh O’Brien, Chairman of the L&Q Group, said: "I am delighted the Executive Board has found a new leader with all the right skills and a clear vision of where L&Q needs to go in the future. We look forward to working with David in taking L&Q from strength to strength."

Current Chief Executive Don Wood announced his retirement last month following 20 years with L&Q.
